Energy Quest

30 pupils from year 8 took part in an Energy Quest workshop; a hands-on challenge where pupils had the opportunity to design, test and build an electric car.

Pupils got their car moving by charging a super capacitor and they had to predict the voltage required for their design to travel 8 meters.  The significance of energy in their daily lives was discussed and evaluated, looking at the pros and cons of various energy generation strategies for the future cities.
